Land Rover is developing a car – competitor to BMW X6

British car brand Land Rover is actively developing its new car, which will compete with its German rivals BMW X6 and Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe for customers. The car will have a length of about 4.5 meters and the chassis based on the Jaguar F-Type. The novelty will have an internal code L560, it was reported by foreign automotive publications. In particular, the car will take place in the model range of the brand among the models Evoque and Range Rover Sport.

Thus, the length of the car will reach 4500-4600 millimeters because Evoque model has a length of 4365 millimeters, and the Range Rover Sport model has a length of 4798 millimeters. Car chassis will be aluminum, Jaguar F-Pace platform will be used as a base.

Among the power plants we can note 3.0-liter supercharged gasoline engine with 340 horsepower in force. More powerful power plants in V8 configuration also will be available, and top modification will be equipped with a V-shaped 8-cylinder gasoline engine generating 540 horsepower. The car will compete with such models as Mercedes-Benz GLE 63 AMG Coupe, BMW X6M. Production of the car will be launched in about 2 years in Slovakia.
