Land Rover Company Launches the System Traffic Message Channel

The management of the Company Land Rover reported that all navigation systems models of Ranger Rover Evoque, Range Rover Sport and Range Rover 2013 model year will be equipped with TMC – Traffic Message Channel. This is not the first time, when we hear that the Land Rover Company integrates new technologies into the models, which they create.

The new system will calculate any routes with the congestion on city streets as well as outside the city. Thus, the owners of Land Rover vehicles will be able to choose the best way to avoid traffic jams and to experience the true pleasure of driving that give luxurious models of British brands. TMS system is based on the capabilities of RDS (Radio Data System) – A standard for information transmission in the UHF band. TMS system receives information about traffic jams on your route by radio VHF radios.

Sources of traffic information are public and non-governmental organizations are involved in monitoring the traffic situation, anonymous data from mobile phones, the data of public and private organizations that have a fleet of vehicles equipped with tracking systems (GPS/GLONASS, etc.). This system will help all of the Land Rover driver wherever they are.
