Charged SUV Range Rover Sport SVR was tested on all types of the road conditions (Part 2)

As you can guess, the second part of tests was held in the wet grass. Helpful and useful Terrain Response 2 system activated Grass / Gravel / Snow mode. In this case, SUV Range Rover Sport SVR managed to reach first hundred in 5.5 seconds. It was not the end; Range Rover Sport SVR drove to the open pit to test before mentioned mode of Terrain Response 2 system on the gravel. It took the car 5.3 seconds to reach the speed of 100 km/h.

Test center of Jaguar Land Rover located in Arjeplog (northern Sweden) became the place of winter test. Range Rover Sport SVR equipped with Terrain Response 2 was driving on the snow and ice and accelerated from 0 to 100 km/h in 11.3 seconds. As for the Mud and Ruts mode, it was tested too. Also special adjustment of air suspension and traction control system activation allows controlling the turning of the wheels for better traction on slippery surfaces. Such an advanced technology allowed charged” 550-hp Range Rover Sport SVR accelerating to hundred km/h in 6.5 seconds.

Terrain Response 2 system also proved its usefulness on the sand. Next test took part on Pendine Sands beach in South Wales. Range Rover Sport SVR on sandy road showed acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 5.5 seconds. The last mode – Rock Crawl, working with the reduction gear was tested on the rocky surface. Range Rover Sport SVR could safely cope with the rocky slope of 32%.
