300,000th Land Rover Freelander 2 is Now Driving Down the Roads

Jaguar Land Rover production plant engineers and other employees at the Halewood Operations plant in Merseyside site have recently celebrated a fairly large and important milestone achievement. The great fest was organized for the production of already the 300,000th Land Rover Freelander 2.

It may be quite interesting to learn that the production of the Land Rover Freelander 2 at Halewood Operations site commenced already in the October of 2006. At the beginning of May the plant’s proud and all-the-way happy 300,000th Freelander 2 was successfully driven off the production line. The Freelander vehicle is a 2.2 Ltr Diesel in Barolo Black color design and was destined for a joyful customer in Brazil. The country which is considered to be one of the Land Rover brand’s rapidly growing markets. Currently Land Rover is still the leading SUV brand in Brazil with the market share of around 40%.

Freelander was the Land Rover’s brand the biggest selling model in the last year, with the figures of retailing to be around 52,000 units world-wide. All in all the Land Rover Halewood Operations continues to strive for more!
