Land Rover Discovery – the best off-road car in the world (part two)
The Land Rover engineers thought about the technical equipment of the fifth generation Discovery model. They complement the car’s package by high tech options and systems. Some of them are an off-road cruise control, surround view camera, projective display and tow assist with an automatic parking function as well as a tiredness recognition system, an emergency braking and road sign information. The keyless system is available due to the Active Key bracelet.
The new modification is equipped with an InControl Touch multimedia complex including 8-/10-inch screen, depending on the configuration. As an option, the carmakers offer additional equipment packages, such as Wi-Fi support and navigation with traffic monitoring in real-time.
The power range of seven-seat off-road car includes 4-cylinder diesel engines of Ingenium family generating 180 – 240 horsepower. The novelty is also provided by a transfer case and another version with a reduction gear. The four-wheel drive system distributes the torque to the front and rear axle at the ratio 42:58. The chassis can work in five modes with automatic or manual change.
