This year, for the 70th anniversary of the Land Rover brand, the British will prepare a restoration of one of the three cars that gave birth to the brand, and a series of models that led to the creation of the famous Defender. The new generation off-road car will be released in 2019. Recently, its mule-version has been seen on tests that is, in a re-wrapped shell from the Range Rover Sport.

According to unofficial data, the future Defender will be based on the PLA (Premium Lightweight Architecture) aluminum platform. The engineers will follow the technology used in the manufacture of pre-series Land Rovers of that time. In particular, their features will remain: thicker aluminum body parts than in the series, galvanized chassis and removable insert in the trunk.
